New York City, Wall Street

After leaving Battery Park, we walked a bit inland to explore the Wall Street area. Among the highlights were the Charging Bull and Fearless Girl statues.

It was also my first taste of the grandeur of some of the public and private buildings in the city. Seemly around every corner there was an intricate building facade with hundred-year old sculptures to inspire you.

It was a bit disheartening at first to see the hustle of people in/out of the area who never bothered with a glance up. But, I was also thankful for the opportunity to explore and reflect (and capture with the camera) on some of the stories captured in plaster, steel and marble.

This was also my first warning that the kids wouldn’t put up with the “kids, look at the statue” game for any length of time. No thank you dad… no more, please. 🙂
