Our family vacation for fall break was to Seattle, Washington this year. We were determined to pack light, only fly with bags in the overhead compartments and also navigate our trip without a rented vehicle. There were a few long hauls with our gear in tow from the light rail station to our hotel, but we managed the trek without issue.
We wasted no time on day one of our journey. We departed our house in the wee hours of the morning and arrived in Seattle by 9am. By 10am we had located the hotel. dropped our bags in the storage closet and hit the city headed toward the market and the waterfront area.

Ace’s “must see” activity for the trip was to ride the ferris wheel that sits right on Pier 57. The waterfront area also had one of several pretty cool playground areas scattered throughout the city. The kids enjoyed the run around time as much as we enjoyed sightseeing.
